Civil Engineering at UTC
Mission:
It is the mission of the civil specialty to provide a high-quality education to students of all backgrounds to become civil engineering professionals who plan, design build and manage infrastructure needed for the challenging environment of the 21st century. The specialty also aims to provide service to the civil engineering profession locally and regionally.
Civil Engineering Civil engineering is about community service, development, and improvement. It involves the conception, planning, design, construction, and operation of facilities essential to modern life, ranging from transit systems to offshore structures to space satellites. Civil engineers are problem solvers, meeting the challenges of pollution, traffic congestion, drinking water and energy needs, urban redevelopment, and community planning.
