Notes:
Electives: The cost of elective credits (15 total) is not included in the tuition total listed above. Participants may take elective courses at any point in the program of study with advisor approval. Participants may pursue the degree on a part-time basis (6 credits per semester) or a full-time basis (9 credits per semester). Elective credits may be taken at any regionally accredited institution, so long as the proposed transfer credits meet all university and department requirements. Post-graduate credits taken within five years of admission to the doctoral program may be requested for transfer, if approved by the advisor. For questions regarding academic advisement, contact Dr. David Rausch at david-rausch@utc.edu.
Dissertation hours: Doctoral students will register for 3 graduate credit hours every fall and spring semester while working on the dissertation (continuous enrollment). Summer enrollment in dissertation credits is optional. The cost associated with 12 credits of dissertation is included in the tuition amount listed above. An excess of 12 credit hours may be needed if dissertation is not completed within a 12 credit hour time frame. These additional dissertation hours would result in a total higher cost for the degree (3 graduate hours per semester until the dissertation is completed and successfully defended).
Financial Aid: A number of student loan options are available- contact the UTC Financial Aid office for more information. Graduate assistantships are not currently available at KCHE. A limited number of assistantships may be available at KCHE as early as 2011.
