The focus of the Ed.D. in Learning and Leadership at the Kingsport Center for Higher Education (KCHE) is to promote the development and understanding of the leadership process in a variety of organizations. Offered by the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, program graduates are equipped to demonstrate high levels of proficiency in any leadership relationship or environment.
The program incorporates course work, experiential learning and practical application of skills in organizational settings as part of the process of fulfilling degree outcomes. A combination of orientation seminars, online work, live video-streaming, and/or independent study projects ensures that the program meets the specific educational needs and career goals of each participant. This delivery model is designed to accommodate the working schedules of full-time professionals. The program culminates in a comprehensive evaluation using an Individualized Learning and Leadership Plan/Portfolio along with the creation and defense of a doctoral dissertation.
