GOALS
Students are to:

• study/apply problem solving techniques and proportional reasoning,
• evaluate/solve linear equations through the use of graphs, tables, and algebraic notation,
• derive linear functions from numerical patterns, and
• evaluate/solve real world (verbal) scenarios through algebraic application.

OBJECTIVES
Student will:

• utilize problem solving techniques,
• perform operations with real numbers and expressions,
• translate from verbal to mathematical notation,
• plot/interpret line and coordinate graphs,
• differentiate between equations and inequalities,
• convert units of measure,
• utilize formulas both algebraic and geometric,
• evaluate/solve equations,
• define functions,
• write linear functions from given data,
• evaluate linear functions,
• make use of proportional reasoning,
• manipulate/simplify polynomials, and
• model real data through algebraic interpretation.
