Engineering Technology Management (ETM): Construction Management Requirements (Major Code: 2665)
General Education
Each technology management student must complete the following general education sequences:
- Rhetoric and Composition: Two approved courses in rhetoric and composition (6 hours)
- Mathematics: Mathematics 1910/1911 (4 hours)
- Statistics: Management 2110 or Engineering 2220 (3 hours)
- Natural Sciences: Two approved natural science courses, at least one including
a laboratory component (7-8 hours) - Humanities and Fine Arts: One approved fine arts course and one approved humanities course (6 hours)
- Cultures and Civilization: One approved Non-Western Cultures and Civilizations course (3 hours)
- Behavioral and Social Sciences: Economics 1010* and 1020* (6 hours)
Major and Related Courses
Major and related courses vary depending upon the concentration (see below); however all B.S. in Engineering Technology Management will require at least:
- Accounting: ACC 2010 and 2020
- Business Administration: BUS 3350
- English: ENGL 2810, or 2820, or 2880
- Management: MGT 2110* or Engineering 2220, MGT 2120, 3150, and 3300
- Mathematics: MATH 1910/1911*
- Engineering Fundamentals: ENGR 3520
- Engineering Management Fundamentals: ETEM 3500, 3540, 4530, and 4580
Specialty and Related Courses
Construction Management Fundamentals: ETCM 3010, 401, 4020, 4030, 4500, and 4960r
Technical Electives (36-37 hours): May come from engineering, science, business, or related courses. Advisement should be sought from program director as early as possible.

Minimum 39 hours at the 3000-4000 level
2.0 average in all engineering, accounting, and management courses.
Note: A maximum of 30 hours may be earned in the College of Business and credited toward the degree.
