Communication junior Marlaina Hayes studies for her mass communication law and ethics course in the new student lounge. There is plenty of quiet space for studying in the area located in Frist 313.
A new communication student and faculty lounge is open in Frist 313. The lounge features a small refrigerator and microwave, as well as chairs and tables. “We wanted to create a quiet space where students and faculty can get away from classrooms, offices and labs,” Gretchen Hopper, administrative assistant for the Communication Department, said. Hopper cautioned that the refrigerator would be cleaned out completely each Monday.
