Brendan Jennings

Adjunct Faculty

This is Professor Brendan Jennings’s second time to teach at UTC, having previously served in 1996-97. A native of Columbus, Ohio, Jennings got his B.A. at Ohio State and entered the U.S. Navy, where he served on active duty for four years and continued service as a drilling reservist for another 12.

He earned his M.S. at UTK after a four-year stint with Procter & Gamble as a sales representative and field advertising supervisor, specializing in planning and executing large-scale chain store merchandising projects. After developing start-up communications materials in the first year of the Thompson Cancer Survivor Center’s (Knoxville) operation, Jennings worked as account executive at a Chattanooga-based advertising agency before opening his own PR practice, Jennings & Associates, in 1995.

He joined UnumProvident (now simply Unum) and worked in the company’s public relations and marketing communications areas before reactivating Jennings & Associates in the spring of 2011. He is married (Belva) and has (or is owned by) four dogs, who are spoiled rotten.
