Demonstration degree plan

The following semester-by-semester table of courses demonstrates a possible plan to complete in four years the UTC Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in communication.

Students are not required to take courses in the specific order portrayed in this table. This table represents only one of several possible scenarios of study. The general education categories listed in the demonstration are linked to UTC courses that meet the requirements of specific general education categories.

"Old" General Education Requirerments: Students who enrolled in college before Fall 1999 may elect to follow the old general education requirements.

A blue ball ( ) in the demonstration plan diagram indicates a required, "core," communication course.

The communication major requires: 21-semester-hours of "core" courses plus 12-semester-hours of communication "electives" selected by the student.
