Take 33 hours COMM including: The Communication Core( COMM 101, 230, 231, 320, 420,451 COMM 480 OR 485) and at least four communication elective courses.

COMM 320 meets part of the Category C General Education requirement.

Related Requirements

* Communication majors must take a minimum of 90 hours outside the major, with at least 65 of these hours taken from the liberal arts and sciences.

* Required GPA in COMM : 2.000

* A minimum of 30 hours are required at the 300 or 400 level.

* A minimum of 128 hours overall required for graduation

VI. Minor(s)

Refer to the catalog information for the various requirements of the different possible minors. With only a few exceptions students in the College of Arts and Sciences working for the Bachelor of Arts degree must minor in a disipline within the College. However, communication majors may undertake an entrepreneurship or marketing minor from the UTC College of Business Administration.

Most minors from the College of Arts and Sciences require at least 18-hours of study in the minor discipline. Of those 18-hours, at least nine must be at the 300 or 400 level.
