Directions to UTC Children’s Center at the Brown Academy Site:
We are located in Brown Academy at 8th and Baldwin on the ground floor. The building sits between MLK and McCallie Ave.
If you are coming from Brainerd and going downtown:
You will come out of the McCallie tunnels, cross the bridge and bear right to McCallie Ave. Stay on McCallie until you reach the red light at Baldwin St. (There will be dorms on your left and Hunter Hall, large brick building, and parking lot on your right) At this traffic light turn left and proceed to the stop sign at the bottom of the hill. At the stop sign you will see Brown Academy in front of you. Turn RIGHT and make an immediate LEFT onto the side street beside the school. Follow this to the circle parking lot in the back of the school. This is the back of the school and will allow you to enter the UTC section directly. There is one door at the back of the school. Just knock or ring the buzzer.
If you are coming from downtown area:
You can take McCallie or MLK to reach the school. If you come up MLK to head out of downtown area and toward Brainerd you will take one of the side streets as though you are cutting through to McCallie Ave.
When on MLK you can make a left on Douglas St. and proceed to the stop sign at 8th St. and Douglas. At this point turn right and follow 8th St. until you reach Brown Academy on your right. Make sure to turn on the side street beside the school and then follow the directions above from there.
