TUTORING OPTIONS

If you are looking for help in any chemistry courses, you have several options:

  • Office Hours: If you miss class, it is your responsibility to learn the material. But, if you need clarification of material write down your questions and visit your professor during her/his office hours.
  • Adult Services: Located in the 278 University Center, Adult Services offers free tutoring for General Chemistry and Organic Chemistry. Call ahead (425-4485) to make an appointment with a tutor. It is a first come, first served basis. Don't wait until the end of the semester when the tutors are the most busy. Get help as soon as you need it.
  • Chemistry Club Tutoring: The Chemistry Club offers tutoring sessions on Wednesdays from 5:30 - 6:30 in 326 Grote Hall. The cost is $20 for 4 session or just $5 per session.
  • Private Chemistry Tutor: If you can afford it and really need extra help, several chemistry majors offer tutoring at a cost of $10 - $15 per hour. The Chemistry office keeps a list of current tutors. (423-425-4278)
