Each spring, the Chemistry Department honors our majors at the annual Awards Banquet. This 21 year traditition tops off the year by recognizing student excellence. Student achievements are recognized and over $50,000 in scholarships are awarded.
This year's banquet was held April 16, 2010 in the Tennessee Room of the University Center. Some of the awards included:
Outstanding Laboratory Teaching Assistants: Brandon Hodges and German Morera- Undergraduate Award in Analytical Chemistry: Susan Holland
- Undergraduate Award in Polymer and Organic Chemistry: Cole Smith, Samantha Hughey, Zak Oberholster
- Hypercube Scholar: Austin Hall
- McNeely Award: Min Kang and Quantel Rolle
- Waddell Award: Aaron Evans
- American Chemical Society Award: Daniel Burriss
