MAJORS HAVE BREAKFAST WITH DR. PAM ROSS: Dr. Pam Ross, Clinical Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at UVA and 1987 UTC BA in Chemistry, met with chemistry majors for breakfast on Saturday, Nov. 19. Dr. Ross was in town to accept the UTC African American Alumni Achievement Award in Health. We are grateful to Dr. Ross for meeting with our majors and providing insight to the medical school application process and answering questions about emergency medicine. STUDENTS PRESENT RESEARCH: Chemistry majors who participated in the the undergraduate research program present their research on Friday, October 7. The poster session was held on the 4th floor of the newly renovated Grote Hall. Many of the students made posters in anticipation of the Southeast Regional Meeting of the American Chemical Society, which will be held in Richmond, VA in late October.
