Registration Process for Graduate Students
Step One - Advisement Appointment
All students must be advised by an advisor of the College of Business Graduate Programs Office. All students can call (423) 425-4210 to schedule an appointment.
Who can advise students?
The assistant dean or the director of UTC's College of Business Graduate Programs Office advise business graduate students. You can call (423) 425-4210 to schedule a time to talk with one of them.
When does advising take place?
Priority advising for the fall semester takes place in early April and for spring & summer semesters in early November. After the priority advising time has passed for each semester, students can be advised on a first come, first served basis until the first day of classes for each semester/session.
Why be advised?
Students are required to be advised to ensure that all are taking the appropriate courses in a manner to help them be successful in the program. In addition, all business graduate programs are closed and require advisor approval to register for them. You will also be given your advisement code, which is needed to register, during your appointment.
Step Two - Registration
All students are required to register themselves for courses approved by the COB Graduate Programs Office.
