EMBA CLASS OF 2008 GRADUATES
UTC's Executive MBA Class of 2008 graduated on Sunday, December 14. On the day before graduation, the class of nine was honored in a special hooding ceremony. Family, frie
nds, and UTC College of Business professors and staff joined to watch Chancellor Roger Brown, Dean Richard Casavant, and Assistant Dean Mike Owens bestow the graduates with the traditional academic hood that signifies the attainment of the master's in business administration.
The class members entered the EMBA program in August 2007, took all of their classes together, and participated in a 10-day international study trip to Paris and Prague during the Summer of 2008.
The cohort elected two of its members to speak on its behalf at the hooding ceremony. One of the class spokespersons, Tahnika Rodriguez, said of her experience in the UTC EMBA Program:
“Now that we have completed this program many will ask us what we thought about the UTC EMBA program…
As I look back on this program I am amazed at how much we have grown and matured in our learning, our outlook, and our perception of our potential in the vast global world that we live in.
Even more amazing is how what we have learned will impact us for decades. In addition to the educational impact lies the personal impact the professors and our cohort will have on our lives…
In closing, as we sat the night after our final class we discussed the memories; but underneath that discussion was the answer to the question I asked earlier, 'What do you think of the UTC EMBA program?'
UTC, we think the world of it – and this graduating class of 2008 thanks you for the education, the experience and the memories.”
