Course Description
This course exposes students to the intersection of human resource management (HRM) and business strategy - the strategic management of human capital. The goal is to introduce students to core HR competency areas that are needed to support organizational goals. The course explores topics of current importance in the context of strategic human resource management, such as strategic HR planning, recruiting and selection, rewards, learning/development, culture change, and performance management.

Prerequisites: None required. Note: A basic Human Resource textbook will be on UTC library reserve for those who have not had any exposure to HR.

Course Objectives                                                                                                                                        This course is two courses in one – it covers personal selling and sales management. It emphasizes the activities and problems of sales management; i.e. the process of formulating, implementing, evaluating and controlling a sales program and the process of selling.
