Can
I graduate in four-years?
Yes, the curriculum is designed for a student to graduate in
four years. The number of hours enrolled in each semester and
the number of semesters completed will determine the length
of time to graduation.
How do I find out the status
of my graduation application?
Students can see the status of their graduation application by logging into MocsNet and referring to their "Student Information".
How will UTC know I am ready
to graduate?
Students must apply for graduation. Applications are available
online at www.utc.edu/records-registration.
What happens
after I apply for graduation?
After you apply for graduation, the student will receive a Graduation
Status Report via their UTC email account. The student will
also be notified when they are to take their Exit Exam.
What is a Graduation Status Report?
The Graduation Status Report tells the student which requirements
must be met in their final semester in order to graduate. Any
discrepancy between the Graduation Status Report and the students
final schedule should be directed to the Graduation Counselor or Academic Adviser immediately.
How do I apply for graduation?
Students should complete an online application one semester
prior to graduation. Applications are available online at www.utc.edu/records-registration.
What do I do if my graduation
is cancelled?
If your graduation is cancelled, meet with the Graduation Counselor or Academic Adviser
as soon as possible to confirm the reason for cancellation and
to make any necessary arrangements for the upcoming semester.
How do I purchase caps, gowns
and invitations for graduation?
Students may purchase their cap and gown and their invitations
at the University Bookstore, located in the University Center.
What are the deadlines to
apply for graduation?
The deadline for December/fall graduation occurs in June; the
deadline for May/spring graduation occurs in October; and the
deadline for August/summer graduation occurs in March of each
year. The specific date can be found online through the Academic
Calendar.
Do I have to pass the exit exam?
No, the Exit Exam is not a pass/fail exam. It is an assessment
tool used for continuous improvement.
Do I have to take the exit exam?
Yes, all students are required to take the exam in order to
graduate.
How do
I find out more about the Exit Exam?
To find out more about the Exit Exam, visit the Testing
Center's Home page.
What is an exit exam?
The Exit Exam is a standardized test required of all graduating
students. This exam accesses how UTC graduates compare to national
statistics for other college graduates.
How do I change my graduation
date after I have already applied?
If you apply to graduate in one semester, but realize you can
graduate earlier or need more time before graduating, simply
fill out a new Application for Graduation form, located online
at www.utc.edu/records-registration.
