Business Administration Minor (4644)

A student wishing to pursue a minor in business administration is required to take the following 18 hours of coursework:

BACC 200 or
BACC201
The Accounting Cycle or
Principles of Accounting
(select only one)
ECON 102 Principles of Economics: Microeconomics
BMGT 315 Management Concepts, Theory, and Practice
BFIN 300 or
BFIN 302*
Small Business Finance or
Essentials of Managerial Finance
(select only one)
BMKT 313 Basic Marketing
ELECTIVE one additional course from the College of Business at the 200 level or higher, excluding BMGT 211 Statistical Methods for Business I

Students may substitute any General Education approved statistics course in lieu of BMGT 211 as a prerequisite to BFIN 302.


Please note the following:

  • Minors are available only to non-business majors.
  • A minimum of 8 hours must be completed at the 300-400 level.
  • A minimum of 2.0 grade point average must be maintained in the minor.
  • A student who is not seeking a major in business administration may complete no more than 30 hours of course work in the College of Business.
  • All students must meet current prerequisites prior to enrolling in any business administration course. Business administration courses begin with BACC, BETR, BFIN, BMGT, BMKT or BUSA. Prerequisites are based on the current catalog year.
