Pre-Registration Advisement: Student Responsibilities

NOTES:

  1. The registration system will allow students to register for any course and does not pre-screen for prerequisites.
  2. Prerequisites are initially checked once grades post for the current semester. Prerequisite checks will be performed until after the last day to add a course for the semester.
  3. Business prerequisite checks do not acknowledge ACT/SAT scores, AP scores, petitions, outstanding or missing transcripts or courses issued an “I”ncomplete. If you fall into one of these categories, please let your Adviser know.
  4. Students are responsible for providing the appropriate department with documentation of meeting current prerequisites.
  5. All students must meet all current prerequisites as listed in the most current catalog -- even if the prerequisite courses are not listed as part of your degree requirements. Any exceptions to course prerequisites should be approved by the department head of the course.
  6. Advisers in other departments do not have the authority to override prerequisites.
  7. If you have a question regarding a prerequisite, please see the appropriate department head.
