Marinus Ray B.S. Business Administration: Accounting
Marinus is the Vice President of Mortarboard, Vice President of Beta Alpha Psi, Communications Officer of the Institute of Management Accountants, and member of Beta Gamma Sigma. He was the youngest Vice President of Student Government at Chattanooga State Community College. He recently founded the Business Leadership Council to facilitate better communication among campus clubs and speed completion of community service projects on campus. He has volunteered and organized events for Habitat for Humanity, The Chattanooga Zoo, St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital, and Magazines for Memorial Hospital. He has also worked as a FAFSA Peer Counselor for the Tennessee Student Assistance Corporation. During his first year at UTC, he finished his Eagle Scout project by completely renovating two offices in the St. Andrew's Church Community Center as part of a community center initiative of the Methodist Church.
After graduation, Marinus plans to earn both a J.D. and MBA. Eventually, he would like to follow in the footsteps of Gerald Storch, who also has a JD and MBA, and become a CEO of a major company.
