General BB Bell visits UTC
College of Business alumnus General B.B. Bell received the 2003
UTC Distinguished Alumnus Award! He was honored at the Legends and
Leaders Banquet, held Tuesday, May 20 at the Chattanooga Golf and
Country Club.
General
Bell is a four-star General, commanding general of U.S. Army Europe
and the Seventh Army.

Bell graduated from UTC's College of Business in 1969.

Dr. Bill Stacy and Dr. Richard
Casavant, Dean of the College of Business, thank
General Bell for speaking at the Lunchtime Leadership Lecture held
on campus in Fletcher Hall.

Among the military decorations Bell has received during his prestigious
career are the Distinguished Service Medal, Defense Superior Service
Medal, and the Legion of Merit with three Oak Leaf Cluster. Bell,
55, received U.S. Senate approval in October, 2002 for the top post
in America's European Command. Bell has served as executive officer
to the Commander in Chief, U.S. Central Command, MacDill Air Force
Base, Florida, and Operations Desert Shield/Desert Storm in Saudi
Arabia.
During
his stay, Bell was honored at the Legends and Leaders Banquet and
also shared his experiences with students and community leaders
at a lunchtime leadership lecture and at a breakfast for the College's
