Students attended the Finance Speaker Series hosted by the Department of Finance in Room 114 of Fletcher Hall. Dr. Susan Phillips, Dean and Professor of Finance at The George Washington University, spoke on the "Changing Functions of the Federal Reserve and Current Policy Issues" on Monday. Tuesday, Ray Ryan, Principal and Vice President of Patten and Patten Inc., spoke on "Portfolio Management and Stock Selection." Gregory Eaves, Senior Vice President of Finance and CFO of the Electric Power Board, spoke on Wednesday about "Lessons Learned-Acquisitions and Financing" and "Strategic Initiatives-Fiber to the Home of Chattanooga." The Series ended with Senior Vice President of Finance at CBL Properties, Farzana Mitchell, who discussed "Financing and Acquisitions."
