Adviser
The purpose of the Academic Advising Center is to provide students assistance with academic planning, pre-registration advisement and graduation planning.
Nikki Ownby is the adviser of the College of Business Academic Advising Center. She is available year-round to discuss academic concerns, degree requirements, GPA concerns, petition requests and other academic or administrative needs. Business students are required to meet with the adviser at least once a year for Pre-Registration advisement.
The adviser maintains the COB Majors community on UTCOnline (Blackboard) to communicate, inform and remind students of important matters such as:
- the Advising Center's hours
- upcoming College of Business and campus events
- important deadlines
- internship or job opportunities
- scholarships
- curriculum changes
Business majors should log into the COB Majors community periodically to check the latest information.
