Master of Education In School Leadership

Interested in a master's program that will enhance your leadership skills as a teacher leader, an aspiring administrator, or both? The “School Leadership Program” at UTC is an excellent program, grounded in theories that are essential knowledge for school leaders, based on the ISLLC Standards, and focused on the reflective practice that is a necessary pre-requisite for a beginning school leader.

There are two concentrations in the program:

- "Principal Licensure Concentration" and

- "Teacher Leader Concentration"

Both are 36 credits. Click here for a comparison of the two programs.

Admission requirements for the master's program are explained here.

A recommended course sequence is here.

Contact Dr. Petzko for more information.

Field Experience Requirement: Both programs require that the student complete substantive and meaningful field experience. It is in the student's best interest to begin these experiences at the beginning of his/her course of study. The requirement is explained in detail in EDAS 551 (Foundations). Please contact Dr. Petzko if you would like a copy of the field experience menu.
